Wyatt & Twyla’s Tender Valentine’s Session on the Lakeside
The Session That Stole My Heart
Every now and then, a session comes along that reminds me exactly why I love photographing sentimental, soul‑deep moments.
Wyatt and Twyla’s couple session did just that.
When they arrived, I assumed they were a young couple still in the early chapters of their love story. I was shocked — in the sweetest way — to learn they had been together for over ten years and had children. Their connection was so fresh, so smitten, so tender… it felt like watching two people fall in love for the very first time.
The Cozy Winter SetupThe Cozy Winter Setup
Winter sessions have their own kind of magic — crisp air, soft light, and the perfect excuse for warm, intimate moments.
On my property, I created a Valentine’s setup just for them:
A warm fire crackling beside the lake
A soft, decorated pallet near a fallen log
A bottle of wine from our local Paulk Vineyards
A sunset that painted the sky in gold and rose tones
It was cool enough to enjoy the fire, but comfortable enough to relax and soak in the evening. The whole scene felt like a private love story unfolding right in front of me.

Their Connection: Soft, Genuine, Effortless
Wyatt absolutely thrived with the hands‑on prompts I gave them — touching, hugging, leaning in close, holding her waist, brushing her hair back, and simply soaking in the moment.
And sweet Twyla… she was all smiles.
Her love for him radiated from her in every frame. You could see it — the comfort, the admiration, the devotion.
Together, they moved like two people who have spent years choosing each other, over and over again.

Exploring the Property: Dock, Palms, and Lakeside MagicExploring the Property: Dock, Palms, and Lakeside Magic
After the firelit setup, we wandered to other spots on the property:
The dock overlooking the water
The lakeside palm trees swaying gently
The shoreline glowing under the winter sunset
Each location gave them a new way to connect — quiet moments, soft touches, shared laughter. Every frame felt like a love letter.
The Moment I Knew: Sentimental Photography Is My Heart
This session confirmed something deep for me:
I love capturing sentimental moments.
The kind of moments that freeze time.
The kind of images that make you feel something the second you look at them.
The kind of photographs that help couples remember exactly how they felt — not just how they looked.
Wyatt and Twyla reminded me that love doesn’t have to be loud to be powerful. Sometimes it’s a warm fire, a gentle touch, a shared smile, and ten years of choosing each other.

This Valentine’s session wasn’t just beautiful — it was meaningful.
It was soft, romantic, and full of genuine connection.
It was the kind of session that stays with you.
Wyatt and Twyla, thank you for letting me capture your story.
Your love is timeless, tender, and absolutely unforgettable.
